Tutor Doctor was started around 11 years ago in North America by a man called John Hooi. John had a passion for education and a desire to help students reach their full potential. A decade later, Tutor Doctor has grown and expanded into a successful and well established global tutoring service but has never lost its initial vision to make a difference in students’ lives.

Steve and Sue Almond manage Tutor Doctor in your area. Steve has over 25 years of management experience and comes from a scientific, technical and project management background. Sue has over 25 years of Primary experience both as a classroom teacher and as a 1:1 Primary tutor. Our combined experience makes for a very strong and effective business partnership.

We have three teenage children and can identify with many of the issues that parents face with regard to their childrens’ education.

• We know all our tutors personally and have developed good relationships with every one of them.
